The Three Easiest Methods:

  1. The String Method
  2. Using a Printable Ring Sizer
  3. Measuring an Existing Ring

Each of these methods uses our Ring Size & Conversion Chart. For methods two and three, print the chart by setting the page scaling to "100%" in your print settings, and use standard 8.5 x 11-inch paper.

Method 1: Create Your Own Ring Sizer

What You’ll Need:

  • Printer & paper
  • String, yarn, floss, or a thin strip of paper
  • Pen or marker
  • Ruler

Steps:

  1. Cut a Piece of String: Cut a piece of string, yarn, floss, or thin strip of paper to at least three inches long.
  2. Wrap It Around Your Finger: Wrap one end of the string around the base of the finger you’re measuring.
  3. Mark the Overlap: Use a pen or marker to mark where the end of the string overlaps with the rest.
  4. Measure the Length: Lay the string flat and measure the length between the end and your mark in millimeters using a ruler.
  5. Use the Conversion Chart: Match the measured length to the corresponding ring size on the Ring Size Conversion Chart.

Method 2: Print a Ring Sizer

What You’ll Need:

  • Printer & paper
  • Scissors

Steps:

  1. Print the Ring Sizer: Print the Ring Sizer & Conversion Chart. Be sure to set the page scaling to "100%" in your print settings and use standard 8.5 x 11-inch paper.
  2. Cut Out the Sizer: Cut out the ring sizer and the small slot as indicated on the chart.
  3. Wrap Around Your Finger: Wrap the paper ring sizer snugly around the base of your finger so that the numbers are visible, and insert the pointed end through the slit you made.
  4. Read Your Ring Size: The number that lines up with the slit is your ring size! If you're between sizes, remember that quarter sizes are available upon request.

Method 3: Measure an Existing Ring

What You’ll Need:

  • Printer & paper
  • Scissors
  • An existing ring

Steps:

  1. Print the Conversion Chart: Print the Ring Sizer & Conversion Chart. Again, set the page scaling to "100%" and use standard 8.5 x 11-inch paper.
  2. Select a Ring: Choose a ring that fits the finger you’re sizing.
  3. Match the Ring to the Chart: Place the ring over each circle on the chart until the inside edge of the ring aligns closely with one of the circle sizes. If the ring falls between two sizes, feel free to contact us to order a quarter size.
